Ans:- The letters that appear the same when viewed in a plane mirror are: A, H, I, M, O, T, U, V, W, X, and Y because they exhibit lateral symmetry.
6. What is a virtual image? Give one situation where a virtual image is formed.
Ans:- A virtual image is an image that cannot be projected onto a screen. One example is the image formed by a plane mirror.
7. State two differences between a convex and a concave lens.

(ii) David observes his image in a plane mirror. The distance between the mirror and his image is 4m. If he moves 1m towards the mirror, the new distance between David and his image is:

Solution:-
Initially:
Distance of David from mirror = 2 m.
Distance of image behind the mirror = 2 m.
Total distance = 4 m.
After moving 1 m closer:
Distance of David from mirror = 1 m.
Distance of image behind mirror = 1 m.
New distance: 1 m (David to mirror) + 1 m (mirror to image) = 2 m.
Total distance = 1 m (David to mirror) + 1 m (mirror to image) + 4 m (initial total distance) = 6 m.

(iii) A driver reversing a car at 2 m/s sees a truck in the rearview plane mirror. The speed at which the truck’s image appears to approach him is:
