Question 7. Perimeter of a square shaped vegetable garden is 76.8m. What is the length of a side of the vegetable garden?

Solution:

The perimeter of a square-shaped vegetable garden = 76.8 m

The formula for the perimeter of a square is:

Perimeter=4×Side\text{Perimeter} = 4 \times \text{Side}

To find the length of one side, divide the perimeter by 4:

Side=76.84\text{Side} = \frac{76.8}{4} =19.2m= 19.2 \, \text{m}

Thus, the length of one side of the vegetable garden is 19.2 m. ✅

Question 8. Breadth of a conference hall is 5.5 m and its area is 74.25 square metre (m2). What is the length of the conference hall?

Solution:

Given:
The breadth of the conference hall is 5.5 m, and its area is 74.25 m².

The formula for the area of a rectangle is:

Area=Length×Breadth\text{Area} = \text{Length} \times \text{Breadth}

To find the length, divide the area by the breadth:

Length=74.255.5=13.5m\text{Length} = \frac{74.25}{5.5} = 13.5 \, \text{m}

Thus, the length of the conference hall is 13.5 m. ✅
